The project places emphasis on a new participatory framework for cooperation, both in virtual and physical spaces. It focuses on research, co-creation, the development of new forms of mobility and policy recommendations, as well as on the creation, touring, and dissemination of artistic projects.
In 2025, CzechMobility.Info is carrying out one of the research studies. Given the lack of data and previous research concerning the Czech Republic and cultural exchange with Africa, the study offers an opportunity to describe the historical context and development in the region. Coordinated by the Arts and Theatre Institute, the study focuses on relations between the region of Central and Eastern Europe and the African continent. It will examine the context of cultural exchange and artistic mobility between the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, taking into account the specific understanding of postcolonial trauma, while also mapping current trends in cooperation.
A recording of the PQ Talks session Artists’ Mobility in / Connected to Africa is still available online.
